Workshop organized by SolarPower Europe, Asolmex and GIZ
6th of September 2018, Mexico City
Description
In June 2018, SolarPower Europe and ASOLMEX signed a Memorandum of Understanding to explore new business opportunities for solar companies in the European and Mexican solar markets. Operations and Maintenance has been identified as one of the key areas of cooperation in the agreement.
In this context SolarPower Europe and ASOLMEX with the support by the "Large Scale Solar Energy Program" of the German-Mexican organized a joint workshop on "O&M" Best Practices and Business Opportunities in Mexico exploring subjects such as: O&M in Europe and Mexico, bankability of solar power plants and O&M Services, best practices requirements in solar power plant operations, monitoring and module cleaning.
The Spanish-language Mexican edition of the O&M Best Practices Guidelines, is based on Version 2.0 of the O&M Best Practices Guidelines and addresses the specificities of the Mexican solar market. It was prepared in collaboration between SolarPower Europe and ASOLMEX and is supported by the “Large Scale Solar Energy Program” of the German-Mexican bilateral cooperation, implemented by the Mexican Secretariat of Energy (SENER) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
