This webinar is on how policymakers can use test methods, quality standards, and labeling to promote high-performing, off-grid appropriate appliances. This exciting panel discussion will review the benefits high-performing products can have on off-grid markets, and discuss options for integrating standards and labeling programs into regional and national policies.
The Efficiency for Access Coalition Secretariat will share key recommendations from its first policy brief, “Promoting High-Performing Off-Grid Appliances”. Experts from the ECOWAS Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency and Kenya Energy Regulatory Commission, who have helped review the policy brief, will reflect on its contents and share insights from their direct experiences at the regional and national level.
While geared toward policy audiences, this webinar is suitable for a number of groups invested in sourcing and promoting quality products, including development agencies, bulk procurers, and microfinance institutions.
